Mental Performance for MMA Fighters

Hypnotherapy for Peak Mental Performance

Mental performance is the difference between a fighter who executes their game plan and one who freezes under pressure. Hypnotherapy and NLP work directly with the unconscious mind — where fear, self-doubt, pain tolerance and emotional patterns actually live.

What we work on

Pre-fight visualisation

Deep hypnotic visualisation installs a clear, compelling picture of optimal performance directly into the unconscious mind — making success feel inevitable rather than hoped-for.

Anxiety & pre-fight nerves

Addresses the root cause of excessive pre-fight anxiety. Trains calm, focused arousal that enhances rather than impairs performance. Creates anchors that can be triggered in the moment.

Focus & concentration

Eliminates distractions and mental noise. Installs deep, automatic focus that switches on under pressure.

Confidence & self-belief

Builds unshakeable belief at the unconscious level — belief that does not need to be consciously maintained. Dissolves imposter syndrome and worthiness blocks.

Limiting belief removal

Identifies and clears limiting decisions made earlier in life that now create ceilings on performance — beliefs like 'I choke under pressure' or 'I don't deserve to win.'

Emotional clearing

Releases stored anger, fear, shame and guilt from past experiences that may be unconsciously affecting present performance. Timeline Therapy and Emotional Change Work.

Pain tolerance & composure

Changes how the unconscious mind processes and responds to pain. Increases tolerance and maintains composure when hurt in competition.

Fight camp support

Ongoing support throughout a training camp, with sessions scheduled to build progressive mental readiness leading into fight week.

Between-round reset

Installs a rapid mental reset protocol that can be triggered in the corner. Clears the previous round and refocuses on execution.

Pain & fascia work

Pain tolerance in competition

The decision to continue or stop when hurt is not purely physical — it is partly an unconscious response pattern. Hypnotherapy works with how the mind processes pain signals, increasing tolerance and composure when hurt in competition. This is not about ignoring injury — it is about changing the automatic fear and freeze response so that trained responses take over instead.

Fascia and body tension

Tension held in the fascia is often related to stored emotional stress and unresolved physical experiences. Hypnotherapy and NLP can address the emotional component of chronic fascial tension, supporting improved mobility and faster recovery. This work complements physiotherapy — it is not a replacement for it.

Hypnotherapy and NLP are complementary wellness services. They are not medical treatment and are not a substitute for medical advice. Rylee Kellahan is not a registered psychologist, psychiatrist or medical doctor. Pain management work through hypnotherapy is complementary in nature and does not replace physiotherapy or medical pain management. Results vary between individuals and no specific outcome is guaranteed.
